the LORD OF THE HIDDEN TREASURES OF THE EARTH AND KING OF THE SECRET AND HIDDEN ONES.
DZAMBHALA is the Tibetan equivalent of the Hindu KUBERA,
The specific form I worship as my yidam or personal deity is Black Dzambhala, a "hot" transmission I received through the Tibetan Nyinmapa ("ancient school") line of Nakpas (yogis, shaman) and Lama Tharchin Rimpoche. Black Dzambhala is a black dwarf with a red lingam, semi-wrathful in expression, covered in snakes, holding two mongoose that spit jewels. His hair is worn "shig-se-shig": half wound on top of his head, half hanging down his back... in the traditional cosmology He was the closest companion of Mahadeva, Lord Shiva. In the ancient temples his place was next to Soma.
His invocation, Mantra and dedication prayers follow:
|
Great Treasure Lord, Noble Dzambhala, Nor dak chenpo Arya Dzambhala
You are the Lord of Precious Treasures,
Having Power over wealth, rain, precious rain;
Give me, the yogi, the blessing of accomplishing wealth. |
|
Effortlessly, desirelessly, Ped dang tsol bey ma go pa
The Wisdom Jewel, Wish fulfilling Tree,
Fulfills the hopes of all sentient beings.
May all wishes be auspiciously accomplished! |
